2025 Holy Week Missions

What are Holy Week Missions?

Holy Week Missions is a special mission experience organized by Mission Youth, where missionaries dedicate Holy Week to prayer, service, and evangelization. Recognizing this as the holiest week of the liturgical year, participants strive to sanctify it by deepening their faith through scripture, prayer, and active outreach. Missionaries go out into their communities to spread the Gospel, reminding others of the significance of Good Friday and Christ’s sacrifice.

This mission involves serving parishes, helping the poor, and inviting people to participate in Holy Week liturgies, including Holy Thursday, Good Friday, and Easter celebrations. Through missionary training and formation, participants grow spiritually while accompanying Jesus in His Passion, sharing God’s love, and bringing the message of salvation to as many people as possible.

Our 2025 theme puts hope front and center in this jubilee year. Christ is the reason for our hope. He gives us hope. And he wants to make us witnesses to hope for every person we encounter.

This Holy Week let Christ send us forth to bring that hope to each other, and to each and every person we mission to.
